| GENERAL WORKSHOPS – 5 per year, 1 location per workshop
The General Workshops are open to all members, nonmembers and guests.
They are normally held on the third Thursday of each ODD month at
the Hyatt
Regency, 11999 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA. The only exceptions
are July and December, when no workshops are held. Reservations
can be made in advance at a discounted rate or for each specific
workshops.
CERTIFICATE WORKSHOPS – 5 per year, 2 locations per workshop
The Certificate Workshops are open to all members, nonmembers and
guests. They are held on the third Thursday of each EVEN month at
the Hyatt
Regency, 11999 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA AND on the fourth
Tuesday of each EVEN month at the Best
Western Capistrano, 27174 Ortega Highway, San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Signup for the Certificate Workshops will be from November 2009
to February 2010. To receive certification you must pre-register
and pay as well as attend four out of the five workshops scheduled.

Supervisors are critical
to the management and operation of any company. Supervisors
must have the resources and ability to constantly meet new challenges,
assume additional responsibilities, and, more importantly, resolve
any conflicts that may arise in the workplace. As a result,
supervisors are not only at the company’s forefront but are
also their training is critical to responding to any claim of
discrimination, wrongful termination, or retaliation.
The EAC is proud to present Grace Horoupian from Kutak Rock
who will provide supervisors, experienced and new, with the
essential elements necessary to ensure that supervisors develop
the necessities to succeed not only in the workplace but also

The Employer Advisory
Council of Orange County (EAC Orange County) in partnership with the Employment
Development Department (EDD) provides both National legislative updates
and California legislative updates for Orange County employers. EAC Orange
County also provides human resources training covering a wide variety
of topics affecting Orange County employers such as hiring, disciplining,
and firing employees in California. The EAC Orange County also co-sponsors
Orange County job fairs with the California Employment Development Department,
publishes a quarterly Advisor newsletter with Orange County employer resources
and has an Orange County employer hotline Advisor. |
